Canard Confit

Alexandre / surfer / master shaper / architect / father / professor / blogger - is a busy dude. His company Barrel Surfboards has been going strong for 3 years now. Back in October, I had the opportunity to test drive a quad fish hand-shaped by Alex. From what I observed in my travels throughout the Basque Region (Euskal Herria), the fish movement is beginning to take flight and Alex is the go-to at the helm in France and beyond. His designs are progressive and his attitude is first rate. He is not in the business of pushing volume, rather he desires a balance in his life - one that employs his love of design coupled with his passion for surf.
